Where's Muammar?

The search is on for ousted Libyan leader, Muammar Gaddafi.  Speculation runs rampant--is he still in Libya?  Did he escape to Niger?  Nobody knows.  Now you can join the search, Where's Waldo style with new Where's Muammar pictures.  Is he in this Hamas rally?  Are any other notable men in the crowd with him?

Cops: K-9 bites, apprehends nude lawnmower thief

Police say they caught a nude "peeping tom" red-handed as he burglarized Livingston Parish residences au naturel.

Livingston Parish Sheriff's Department spokesman Perry Rushing says deputies were investigating a report at 3:00AM of a burglary in progress when they found a suspicious vehicle parked on Ledoux Lane south of Walker. 

Rushing tells WWL First News that officers notice a riding lawn mower near the vehicle "that appeared to have been taken from a nearby structure as if someone may have been trying to steal it."  The deputies also noticed that window screens had been removed from three homes on the dead-end street, and chairs and stools had been positioned below each of the windows.


That's when deputies reported seeing a nude man run from a nearby shed and "streak out across a field." Rushing says deputies dispatched a K-9 named "Gunner" to chase the fleeing, naked suspect after the man refused verbal commands to stop.

"After several minutes, Gunner made an apprehension," Rushing said.

Hey, if you are going to skulk around naked, peeping into windows at 3 am, you may as well "borrow" a riding lawn mower too.

Mr. Clayton, the suspect, should be glad that Gunner did not want to play "fetch the ball".

Victim urinates on phone thief

A phone thief was made the laughing stock of May Pen and surrounding areas in Clarendon after a man from whom he attempted to rob a cellular phone urinated on him.

A phone thief was made the laughing stock of May Pen and surrounding areas in Clarendon after a man from whom he attempted to rob a cellular phone urinated on him.

The serious but comical incident occurred recently in the busy town centre.

Police have confirmed hearing about the incident but say they have received no official report on the matter. The cops also confirmed that there has been a recent upsurge in the cases of robbers grabbing phones and running off.

Information reaching THE WEEKEND STAR is that in a recent case, three men saw a middle-aged man walking with a BlackBerry phone in his hand.

It is understood the robbers came beside him and then one grabbed the phone and they started to run. To their surprise, however, the man pulled his firearm and fired three shots in the air and shouted "STOP".

THE WEEKEND STAR heard that the man who had the phone fell to the ground, while his other frightened cohorts quickly found hiding places. The man is said to have walked up to the alleged phone grabber who was still lying on the ground and reportedly said: "You a phone grabber, gi me mi phone".

As the thief quickly handed over the instrument, the man asked: "Weh you want me do pump two shot pon you or urinate pon you?"

As people began laughing, the culprit replied: "Urinate pon me sar, urinate pon me".

As the laughter grew, the man urinated on the phone grabber and turned and walked away.

No one could say how the phone grabber disappeared so quickly afterwards but many suspect it will be quite a while before he returns to the May Pen square

On Good Judgment

Have you heard about Judge Alex Kozinski?  He is presiding over a highly publicized obscenity trial where (he and) jurors will be required to watch hours of hard core pornography to determine if it is "art" or "obscenity".  The surprise in the trial, Judge Kozinski is REALLY looking forward to the viewing. 

Apparently he is something of a connoisseur of porn and has quite a collection on his computer--or at least on his public on-line storage.  His extensive collection includes bestiality, transsexuals, and other extremely graphic images.  One of his images is apparently a naked woman painted to look like a cow.  Got Milk, anyone?

He is reported to have said some of the images may belong to his son and watching porn is just a part of life. 

Perhaps viewing porn is a regular part of his life, but sharing it with his son . . . hmmm.  Seems creepy to me.

Also reported, when Kozinski found out that the court building had filters to keep pornography off of court employee computers, he fought to have the filters removed.  Apparently, in the Golden state, your tax dollars pay state employees to titillate themselves on-line.  Now that's taxation that represents!

So far, Kozinski has suspended the trial for the time being, but he has not recused himself from the trial.

So, just what kind of judgment is required to become a judge in California?
