Michael Bay, director of the recent Transformer trilogy, get's a lot of criticism for producing movies that are heavy on special effects but shallow in terms of plot and character development. Fans laud the 2 hour thrill rides he directs, but critics say his work is less than art because he does not focus on the elements of good story.
