In response to a column on TheSibylSpeaks, I generated a list of 11 reasons the Big B.O. deserves his Nobel Peace Prize. I have copied a modified list here.
B.O. is only the third sitting president in the United States to be awarded a Nobel Peace Prize. Did you notice that the other sitting presidents who were awarded a NPP were also progressives? Same for Carter and Gore (Gore's NPP is the one that showed me this award is no prize at all). What has he done to deserve the NPP? Here is my top 10 list:
10. Facilitated Nuclear Capabilities in Iran
9. Delayed Troop Increases in Afghanistan While He Made a Personal Appearance to Bid for the Olympics in Chicago which is Slightly Less Violent than Rio
8. Increased Dialog on Healthcare Reform (never mind that most of the dialog includes expressions of anger toward him) 7. Refused to Appear at 9/12 Washington TEA Party--thereby preventing a riot 6. Signed a Bill to Allow US tax Dollars to Fund International Abortions Through the UN 5. Used Taxpayer Money to Purchase 320,000 "Bad" Cars to be Sent to the Junk Yard 4. Opened Dialog with Rogue Nations 3. Accepted Perverts and Radicals and Installed Them in the White House 2. He Bought a Dog and Named it BO
1. The International Apologize America Tour
See, he hasn't just sat around doing nothing. He deserves the Nobel Peace Prize.
You still don't think he deserves the NPP? You must not be familiar with the other nominees. Check them out on Poor Richard's blog.
Now that I have seen the committee members (4 women and one decidedly "European" man), I suspect the real reason he got the prize was because they were impressed with the size of his stimulus package.
